In order to qualify for the International Rafting Federation World Championships (IRFWC) , teams are selected through recognised National and International selection systems that verify their ability as the worlds best white water rafting teams.

Team Oz has consistently maintained a high profile in the history of world standard rafting competition with substantial national and international print and electronic media exposure. The team has been profiled in Paddler Magazine, Sydney Morning Herald and numerous regional television and newspaper articles and stories. Their high standing has been highlighted in internationally televised coverage of past CWWC competitions.

Success in peak rafting competition comes through uncompromised discipline in training and skill development regimes. Australian teams have always demonstrated a strong work ethic in maintaining personal and team training schedules that reflects their driven desire to be the world’s best.
